Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead, Network Systems Engineer that will lead a team that supports the requirements, design, development, test, integration, and troubleshooting of complex, specialized hardware/software systems installed on ground and airborne communication platforms .
Essential Functions:
+ Design and develop physical and logical architectures incorporating voice, video, and data capability across multiple security domains
+ Designs and maintains networks (both LAN & WAN) connecting airborne and ground systems via terrestrial and BLOS (Beyond Line of Sight) circuits
+ Translate the voice of the customer into system level requirements
+ Perform requirement traceability methods and purpose
+ Perform systems engineering trade studies
+ Evaluate trade studies for accuracy and completeness
+ Write subsystem specifications based on system level requirements
+ Evaluate alternative solutions and establish preliminary system design
+ Review and evaluate diagrams to ensure design details trace to system requirements
+ Develop and execute network test procedures ensuring system performance and capabilities meet system requirements
+ Prepare effective presentations to communicate technical network information to non-technical professionals
+ Lead a team, with multiple disciplines of engineering, to design a cohesive creditable multiple security domain network, and integrate the resulting design in a MILSTD based development environment
Qualifications:
+ This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship
+ Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate engineering discipline (Electrical, Systems, Telecommunications, etc.) and a minimum of 9 years of applicable experience
+ Expert knowledge and experience in network (LAN/WAN) design incorporating industry standard security best practices; NIST framework
+ Expert network engineering experience including IP addressing, switching and routing, VLANs, VPNs, video teleconferencing, VoIP telephony, and LANs/WANs
+ Expert in routing protocols including RIP, EGIRP, OSPF, and BGP
+ Certification and Accreditation process and implementation of systems that achieved an Authorization to Operate on government networks
+ DODAF knowledge
+ Configuration, integration, and troubleshooting of routers, switches, voice, and video teleconferencing equipment
+ Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills
+ Experience developing, authoring, and implementing software and system test plans in a team environment
+ Experience working successfully both independently and in a team environment with the ability to lead small test teams through an entire build cycle
+ Hands-on experience with testing, integrating, and verifying software and/or hardware
+ Ability to obtain/maintain TS/SCI clearance
Preferred Additional Skills:
+ Current Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification
+ Current Top Secret security clearance
+ Experience with Kubernetes deployment/administration
+ Experience with SATCOM solutions/protocols
+ Experience with HAIPE devices is also a plus
+ RedHat Enterprise: Linux
+ Experience working with subcontractors and US Government customers
+ Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process and implementation of systems that achieved an Authorization to Operate (ATO) on government networks DODAF knowledge
+ Experience working government and/or military programs
+ Excellent written, oral communications skills
+ Willingness to travel
+ Active Security Clearance - Secret or Higher
