Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead, Network Systems Engineer that will lead a team that supports the requirements, design, development, test, integration, and troubleshooting of complex, specialized hardware/software systems installed on ground and airborne communication platforms. 

Essential Functions:

Design and develop physical and logical architectures incorporating voice, video, and data capability across multiple security domainsDesigns and maintains networks (both LAN & WAN) connecting airborne and ground systems via terrestrial and BLOS (Beyond Line of Sight) circuitsTranslate the voice of the customer into system level requirementsPerform requirement traceability methods and purposePerform systems engineering trade studiesEvaluate trade studies for accuracy and completenessWrite subsystem specifications based on system level requirementsEvaluate alternative solutions and establish preliminary system designReview and evaluate diagrams to ensure design details trace to system requirementsDevelop and execute network test procedures ensuring system performance and capabilities meet system requirementsPrepare effective presentations to communicate technical network information to non-technical professionalsLead a team, with multiple disciplines of engineering, to design a cohesive creditable multiple security domain network, and integrate the resulting design in a MILSTD based development environment

Qualifications:  

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance, which requires U.S. citizenshipBachelor’s degree in an appropriate engineering discipline (Electrical, Systems, Telecommunications, etc.) and a minimum of 9 years of applicable experienceExpert knowledge and experience in network (LAN/WAN) design incorporating industry standard security best practices; NIST frameworkExpert network engineering experience including IP addressing, switching and routing, VLANs, VPNs, video teleconferencing, VoIP telephony, and LANs/WANsExpert in routing protocols including RIP, EGIRP, OSPF, and BGPCertification and Accreditation process and implementation of systems that achieved an Authorization to Operate on government networksDODAF knowledgeConfiguration, integration, and troubleshooting of routers, switches, voice, and video teleconferencing equipmentExcellent written, oral, and presentation communication skillsExperience developing, authoring, and implementing software and system test plans in a team environmentExperience working successfully both independently and in a team environment with the ability to lead small test teams through an entire build cycleHands-on experience with testing, integrating, and verifying software and/or hardwareAbility to obtain/maintain TS/SCI clearance
