Primary Role

The Lead, Operational Analytics is responsible for providing operational and technical support to enhance performance in core operational areas. They will work with various functional teams to solve problems and deliver reliable, high-quality services to State Operations. This position is responsible for evaluating large datasets to ensure quality and accuracy, determining the business impact of data quality issues, and collaborating with programmers to correct errors.

Key Accountabilities In partnership with the IT team, this role will provide daily management of reporting & analysis systems. Measure system effectiveness and drive corrective actions and improvement across the business Provide ‘Help Desk’ type services during normal business hours, that tracks and solves issues related to Operational Reporting.  Provide subject matter expertise on operational systems of record. Maintain relevant operational practices and system workflows for the company and regulatory compliance Participate in special assignments including professional conferences, regulatory workshops, business development, rate case testimony, technology research and other matters of strategic interest to the company Ensure compliance across the enterprise with Company policies and practices related to metering, safety, environmental, etc. Maintain documentation for all standard processes Knowledge Experience with SAP ISU IT Operations and Batch Execution and Management Data Modeling CPI layer tools Amazon Quicksight Skills Strong process, project, and program management skills. Advanced quantitative skills (e.g., analytical, technical, problem solving). Effective people management skills (e.g., planning, organizing, controlling, and leading individual staff and teams). Demonstrated advanced technology related skills: Data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).   Database expertise and management of data and data conversions. Ability to effectively review and translate XML and JSON data formats. Ability to manage long term expectations in a Service Level Agreement (SLA) type business model. Excellent written and verbal communication skills (e.g., fluency in report writing and presentations). Effective interpersonal skills (e.g., influencing, persuasion, negotiation, listening, cooperation, tact, diplomacy, problem solving, internal consulting). Ability to understand the business needs of the organization and effectively articulate to technical leads to ensure successful results. Ability to manage multiple teams to successful design interfaces between organization applications with 3rd party applications. Experience with conducting workshops, creating and presenting training content. Experience/Education Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in Information Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics. 8 years’ experience of advanced reporting and data management. Technical background (preferred).
