Lead, Production Control
SUMMARY Production Control Lead report to the Production Control Supervisor and are ultimately responsible to the Director of Planning, Production Control and Liaison Engineering. It will be the responsibility of the PC Lead to perform assigned duties safely and in a manner that will ensure the accuracy of processed documents. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSupervises, coordinates, provides leadership to, and reviews the work of assigned staff.Assists the Supervisor of Production Control to establish work schedules to meet production schedules.Evaluates and makes recommendations regarding methods and procedures in Production Control and plans the day-to-day departmental operations.Assigns people, authorizes overtime and controls costs by adopting the policy of cross utilizing people to effectively reduce headcount.Works with the Planning Department to report operational performance on each active aircraft and/or customer.Administers compensation policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.Assists the Supervisor of Production Control in performing those administrative activities necessary for the effective management of the department, including the development of employees, pay administration, employee safety, employee counseling and motivation, organization goals and objectives, and planning, organizing, integrating, while measuring the work performed within the department to ensure adequate and continuous control is exercised over the activities of assigned employees.Implements a production control training program in order to align and raise the level of training for all current and future Production Controllers. Performs such individual assignments as the Supervisor of Production Control may direct; established and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.All other duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Carries out supervisory responsibilities for Lead Mechanics, Mechanics and hangar staff in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
