Lead, Security Architecture - Blueprints / Guidelines

Overview:

Responsible for creating security blueprints (guidelines) that will be used as patterns for the implementation of security designs. Responsible for developing and administering solutions that meet system expectations relative to scalability, performance, fault tolerance, usability, and data integrity for the Information Security Operations and Architecture function. Also delivers solutions that meet end user expectations relative to performance, usability and security.

Major Duties:

Creates quality deliverables including: class diagrams, data models, data dictionaries, detailed process flow diagrams, and codes

2. Evaluates functionality and technologies in the Enterprise Security Applications portfolio and recommends grow, maintain or sunset strategies

3. Participates in all technical aspects of designing, implementing and tracking internal, external application and infrastructure vulnerability scans

4. Operates independently; has in-depth knowledge of business unit / function

5. As subject area expert, provides comprehensive, in-depth consulting and leadership to team and partners at a high technical level

6. Carries out activities that are large in scope, cross-functional and technically difficult

7. Role is balanced between high level operational execution and development, and execution of strategic direction of business function activities

8. Conducts preliminary analysis of new technologies, vulnerability finding, or security incidents

9. Responsible for direct interaction with different committees and/or management

10. Strategic in developing, implementing and administering programs within functional areas

Knowledge :

Excellent oral and written communication skills are requiredIn-depth information security/industry knowledge is requiredMust be highly flexible and adaptable to changeIn-depth knowledge of various cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and SSDLCAbility to establish security guidelines/patterns related to cloud, hybrid, and on-prem systems and work with various tech teams to assist with the implementation as neededMust be very organized and collaborativeVery good understanding of zero-trust architecture and working experience with relevant tools/technologiesKnowledge of scripting languages is requiredMust have knowledge related to cloud technologiesKnowledge of fundamental networking technologies is requiredUnderstanding of network protocols is requiredUnderstanding of major operating systems is required

Experience:

A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience in the area of Information Security is required. Industry certification such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, GIAC is preferred.
