Job Description:

L3Harris is currently seeking a Sr. Security / Vulnerability Research Engineer to join our team. This individual will perform reverse engineering tasks associated with vulnerability detection and manipulation of targeted systems. This position will primarily work at our dedicated facility in Palm Bay, FL. This is an extremely exciting position working with National Security customers to protect and defend our nation.  Don’t join a job, join a mission.  L3Harris Technologies is seeking the best of the best to lead our Security Vulnerability and Research efforts for our customers.

Essential Functions:

Conducting research for the purposes of finding new vulnerabilities and enhancing existing capabilitiesCircumventing security protection methods and techniquesReverse engineering complex systems and protocolsCreating detailed technical reports to document findings and writing proof of concept codeUnique skills required (i.e. expertise, location, etc.) Vulnerability Research, Hardware/Software/Firmware Reverse Engineering, Capability Development, Systems Engineering, Zero-Day Investigation, Compute/Network architectures, Embedded Environment Kernel DebuggingExperience working with Reverse Engineering Tools, such as: GDB, JTAG, Ghidra or IDA PRO (Hex-rays Decompiler).

Qualifications:

Education:Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience, orGraduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Extensive knowledge of C/C++, python, assembly language or additional scripting and programming languages5+ years of experience in reverse engineering5+ years of experience with disassembly tools5+ years of experience with vulnerability researchExperience with RISC architecturesExperience with prevalent radio communication protocolsExperience with operating system internals including solid knowledge of information security, computer architecture, software and hardware protection schemes, and virtualization theoryExperience with userland and kernel mode debugging, including debugging in embedded environmentsExperience writing custom IDA loaders, processor modules, IDA python, and Hex-Rays decompiler pluginsKnowledge of fuzzing and virtualizationGIAC/ISC2/CEH CertificationsActive TS/SCI Security Clearance highly preferred
