Job Title: Lead, Test Instrumentation/Data Recording Engineer Job ID: 20644Job Location: Jupiter, FL Job Schedule: 9/80 Job Description:We are seeking an Instrumentation and Data Recording Engineer working in a test operations environment supporting production and development rocket engine test programs. Responsibilities emphasize real-time plant operational support including extensive facility and integrated systems troubleshooting and immediate design correction analysis. Provide technician direction and actively participate with rocket engine test data systems setups, process verifications, instrumentation and pre-run systems calibrations, data processing and post-test data validity reviews. Participate in development program budget estimates and provide implementation oversight of facility modification engineering packages using industry standards and specifications. Individual will work closely with multiple engineering organizations to accommodate customer requirements and expectations. Essential Functions: Candidate must be proficient with PC based digital data acquisition systems – including high speed structural data measurement applications, operating systems, signal conditioning, A/D front end hardware, and programming familiarity with LabVIEW, C, and Visual Basic. Qualified candidates must be knowledgeable of electrical/electronic principles and should have experience with an emphasis on the following: + Hands-on development, integration, operation and troubleshooting of instrumentation, signal conditioning and data acquisition systems + Sensor circuits including but not limited to pressure, temperature, flow, vibration, proximity and force measurement + Principles of electrical circuits including: mixed-signal processing, filters, ADCs, power supplies, noise, amplifiers and frequency analysis + Uncertainty analysis and instrumentation calibrations + Instrumentation and acquisition hardware specification and procurement + Principles of stress and strain Qualifications: + Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. Preferred Additional Skills: + Experience with Thrust Measurement Systems + Cryogenic mass and volumetric flow measurements + HGL Dynamics, spectral plots, vibration data analysis + Familiarity with the application of strain gages, bonding lead wires, hypo tubing and metal clad thermocouples is considered a plus #LI-AT4 L3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
