Job Description
The Training Program Lead is responsible for designing training programs that can be rolled out globally to the QC labs. The Training Program Lead will be responsible for transforming technical content such as pipetting skills or HPLC provided by SMEs into engaging, interactive content geared toward adult learners. They will need to establish qualification requirements for specific techniques as appropriate. Ensures consistent compliance with external and internal AbbVie policies/procedures impacting the training program. Works with cross-functional team to assure consistent training practices throughout the operations including criteria for trainers delivering hands on training to analysts. Leads continuous improvement projects to enhance training delivery and effectiveness and evaluate use of new technologies to enhance the training experience.
Responsibilities
Develop and establish training modules for onboarding of new hires that is harmonized throughout the lab network (can leverage existing modules).Work with sites to harmonize standards for new analyst training including timing, order, and method of training (hands on vs read and understand).Create Job Skills Training Modules (JSTMs), videos, or job aides as needed to improve training program and elevate training from the “What” to “Why” to deepen the technical depth.Ensure alignment of training program with global team through active participation on the global training center of excellence.Complete periodic review and updates of training related documents as needed.Evaluate training modules and provide input for streamlining and consolidation to reduce training burden where possible while maintaining high standards needed for department.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education, or Science based field required or equivalent relevant working experience.Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting QC Labs (e.g., CFR, MCA and USP) preferred if working in QC Labs.At least 8 years of Operations/Quality/Training, combined experience is required.Knowledge of regulations and standards for pharmaceutical testing operations and application to training.Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment.Excellent presentation skills required. Proven ability to lead and conduct critical training classes.Essential experience will include knowledge of GMP and training process.Ability to problem solve, initiate, and manage projects.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
