Lead .Net Engineer

This position will follow our hybrid work model, we expect the selected candidate to be in office 2-3 days a week at one of the following office locations: St. Petersburg, FL; Memphis, TN

Job Summary:As part of our Client Access software engineering team at Raymond James, this Lead Engineer will analyze business requirements, drive research to architect, design and implement solutions and support all levels of the Raymond James client portal. In this role, you will be responsible to perform activities associated with all stages of SDLC, lead and collaborate with team members and various stakeholders.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Java software development using Spring Boot, Hibernate, SQL, REST services.• Analyzes system requirements, including identifying program interactions and appropriate interfaces between impacted components and sub systems.• Partner with a cross-functional team to imagine, design, develop, and test.• Participate in the development, code reviews, testing, deployment, and delivery of large-scale software applications, systems, and services.• Build relationships with Development Managers, Engineers and Project Managers across various teams.• Participate in Agile project management methodologies to provide technical leadership and project management for all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).• Stay up to date with tools, trends, technologies and frameworks and develop proof of concepts.• Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or to reuse of existing code.• Participates in software system testing and validation procedures, programming and documentation.• Comfortable working in an environment that requires on call support to ensure system availability.• Ensures proper analysis of problems and programming approaches to prevent rework and schedule slippage.• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education/Previous Experience
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business or related degree and five (5) years of relevant experience or a combination of education, training and experience approved by HR.
