Position Title: Lead Accounts Receivable Analyst

Location: Rye Brook, NY

Department: Finance

Supervisor’s Title: Controller

Position Summary: The Lead Accounts Receivable Analyst is responsible for managing the credit and collections process, providing financial analysis and insights, and identifying opportunities for functional improvements. This role involves assisting executive management with prompt and clear analysis and reporting on accounts receivable, promotions, deductions, and the cash cycle.

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage the invoice cycle from posting invoices to receiving payments and handling customer accounts.Perform analysis on accounts receivable data, including aging analysis, delinquency reports, reconciliation reports, and status reports.Review, revise, and implement policies and procedures within the staff and other departments.Maintain the accounts receivable balance within acceptable parameters and make decisions on credit terms, write-offs, and collections.Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to process deductions and promotions.

Decision-Making Authority:

Make decisions according to established procedures and guidelines.Exercise judgment to serve customers while protecting the company.Discuss decisions that do not follow procedures or could harm the organization with the manager.

Key Performance Indicators:

Record all remittances within 2 working days.Ensure responses to all incoming contacts within 24 hours.

Skills, Knowledge, Education, and Experience:

3-5 years of experience in accounts receivable/collections, preferably in a consumer goods setting.Strong experience with deductions.Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Word.Strong business communication skills, both spoken and written.College degree, preferably in business.
