**Position Description:**
Performs managerial work providing direction and guidance in setting and achieving goals and objectives; developing policies; reviewing guidelines, procedures, rules, and regulations; establishing priorities, standards, and measurement tools for determining progress in meeting goals; coordinating and evaluating program activities; and establishing and monitoring budgets. May plan, assign and supervise the work of others. Works under limited supervision with latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

**Major/Essential Functions:**
+ Adheres to institutional and departmental safety policies and procedures. Participates in safety training and
+ ongoing training/professional development as appropriate.
+ Oversees the scholarship awarding process for the college, including first time entering transfer and currently
+ enrolled students from application submission to awarding process.
+ Coordinates correspondence with the college Deans, the Area Coordinators, Development staff, Institutional Advancement, scholarship committees, the Senior Director of Finance & Accounting, the Texas Tech Office of Student Financial Aid, Texas Tech Scholarship Office, and scholarship recipients.
+ Maintains scholarship records using the Scholarship Tracking System (STS), Banner, Microsoft Excel, Cognos, Raiderlink, and other programs as needed.
+ Provides regular reporting on scholarships awarded and other analysis on endowments as needed.
+ Provides available scholarship budget for upcoming academic year on a spreadsheet along with the updated
+ Form A and Form B to each area in a timely manner so each area is able to make their awards for the upcoming
+ academic year.
+ Develops strategies for awarding, tracking, and managing scholarships.
+ Oversees the scholarship recipient "thank you letter" process.
+ Works closely with the Senior Director of Finance & Accounting, Academic Dean, and academic areas of the
+ Rawls College to accomplish all tasks related to scholarships and awards.

**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ A general knowledge of administrative policies and procedures as well as computer systems and Microsoft Office
+ programs (a high level of skill using MS Excel is necessary). Person must be proficient at organizing, planning, and
+ prioritizing work to meet deadlines; be an effective communicator; have critical thinking skills; have a high attention to
+ detail; be able to maintain confidential up-to-date records; and be able to multi-task.
+ A thorough knowledge of the operating policies and procedures that apply to faculty, staff and student issues. Knowledge and training in Banner and the Scholarship Tracking System (STS) and Cognos.
+ MOS Certification in Excel.

The Jerry S. Rawls College of Business Administration is AACSB accredited and houses the School of Accounting that holds separate AACSB accreditation. The college offers the BBA degree with majors in accounting, energy commerce, finance, information technology, management, marketing, and supply chain management. Several formats of the MBA program are offered in fulltime, weekend, and online modalities in Lubbock, the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Houston, and San Antonio. The College offers MS degrees in accounting, data science, finance, and marketing research and analytics. A Ph.D. in business administration is offered with tracks in accounting, finance, management, management information systems, and marketing. With a faculty of over 140 and a staff that exceeds 80, the college enrolls over 5,000 undergraduate and 800 graduate students.
