Lead Analyst - Corporate Acquisition and Divestiture Accounting

Eaton’s Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Lead Analyst - Corporate Acquisition and Divestiture Accounting. This hybrid role will be based in our Beachwood, Ohio location. 

 

The expected annual salary range for this role is $91500.03 - $134200.04 a year.

What you’ll do:

The Lead Analyst - CADA partners with Corporate Development, other corporate functions, our businesses, and integration teams to provide accounting support and oversight, integration support, and financial reporting and analysis related to both actual and potential acquisitions and divestitures. The team performs financial due diligence on acquisition and joint venture targets, advises on deal structuring, supports deal modeling activities, and performs sell-side divestiture activities. This position also partners with the business on unique and complex transactions. The Lead Analyst also participate in the accounting activities around formal restructuring programs.
 

In this function you will: 

Assist with multi-year restructuring program accounting, forecasting, and reporting Assist with financial due diligence procedures on acquisition, investment, and divestiture targetsPerform corporate ledger accounting activities and prepare journal entriesAssist with mark to market analyses for minority investmentsExecute the accounting activities around joint ventures and minority investmentsAssist with the annual and interim goodwill impairment analysisDevelop and maintain relationships with Eaton businesses to provide accounting support and financial analysisInterpret U.S. GAAP and Eaton financial policies on accounting matters and provide clear and concise guidance on application and account usage to acquired operationsLiaison with external and internal auditors to explain restructuring accounting and provide detailed supporting documentationParticipate in or lead special projects/process improvements to help drive efficiencies in the finance organizationQualifications:

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance from an accredited institutionMinimum of three (3) years of progressive accounting or finance experienceSponsorship is not available. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without requiring company sponsorship. Relocation is not available. Candidates must reside within 50 mile radius of Beachwood, Ohio.

Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge of US GAAPProficient in Microsoft OfficeCPA Skills:
