Lead Analytics Consultant

CSBB Data, Analytics & Reporting team is responsible for independent monitoring to ensure Community Banking and Consumer Lending business process and activity owners implement effective and sustainable controls to manage risk and adhere to Company policies and regulatory expectations.


In this role, you will:

Advise line of business and companywide functions on business strategies based on research of performance metrics, trends in population distributions, and other complex data analysis to maximize profits and asset growth, and minimize operating losses within risk and other operating standardsProvide influence and leadership in the identification of new tools and methods to analyze dataEnsure adherence to compliance and legal regulations and policies on all projects managedProvide updates on project logs, monthly budget forecasts, monthly newsletters, and operations reviewsAssist managers in building quarterly and annual plans and forecast future market research needs for business partners supportedStrategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to resolve issues and achieve goalsLead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor to staff, interns and external contractors


Required Qualifications:

5+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Ability to create programs in SAS and SQLFamiliarity with Consumer Banking operations Consult with business line and enterprise functions on less complex researchUse functional knowledge to assist in non-model quantitative tools that support strategic decision makingPerform analysis of findings and trends using statistical analysis and document processPresent recommendations to increase revenue, reduce expense, maximize operational efficiency, quality, and complianceIdentify and define business requirements and translate data and business needs into research and recommendations to improve efficiencyParticipate in all group technology efforts including design and implementation of database structures, analytics software, storage, and processingDevelop customized reports and ad hoc analyses to make recommendations and provide guidance to less experienced staffUnderstand compliance and risk management requirements for supported areaEnsure adherence to data management or data governance regulations and policiesParticipate in company initiatives or processes to assist in meeting risk and capital objectives and other strategic goalsCollaborate and consult with more experienced consultants and with partners in technology and other business groups
