Lead Analytics Consultant

In this role, you will:

Advise line of business and companywide functions on business strategies based on research of performance metrics, trends in population distributions, and other complex data analysis to maximize profits and asset growth, and minimize operating losses within risk and other operating standardsProvide influence and leadership in the identification of new tools and methods to analyze dataEnsure adherence to compliance and legal regulations and policies on all projects managedProvide updates on project logs, monthly budget forecasts, monthly newsletters, and operations reviewsAssist managers in building quarterly and annual plans and forecast future market research needs for business partners supportedStrategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to resolve issues and achieve goalsLead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor to staff, interns and external contractors


Required Qualifications:

5+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsStrong analytic and creative problem solving skills.More than 5+ years of working experience using SAS, SQL and/or other statistical / BI tools.Prior experience developing and implementing in Teradata, Hadoop or Aster environments.Prior experience working with advanced analytic capabilities and experience in Big Data capabilities is a plus but not required.Experience in detection of risk pattern and trendsExperience in building, testing, automating, documenting and optimizing data infrastructure.Ability to work with large databases and process flow through complex logic or merging algorithm.Familiar with Wells Fargo Consumer Banking, fraud risk/operation, or is a proven fast learner of data / business knowledge


Job Expectations:

Learn and identify conceptual and quantitative solutions to meet the constraints of business requirements.Leverage data, business knowledge, strategy and predictive models to inform and influence line of business strategic planning in long term plan developmentProvide automated, user-friendly and data-driven solution for Community Banking Centralized Supervision and other business partnersPartner closely with other Consumer Banking Risk Management to support Branch Quality Reviews, Compliance Reviews and other activities where advanced data mining and / or modeling would add valueImprove risk monitoring and issue detection by enhancing traceability of banker and customer activitiesWork with large databases and process flow through complex logic or merging algorithm.Use SQL, SAS or other statistical / BI tools to create and maintain MIS, support data mining and analytics insights.Assist in the data architecture and data cleansing methodology and implementation.Create and maintain various quantitative tool documentation and metadata.Write presentation deck, and communicate results to internal and external customers.Strengthen data resolution, process integration, usage testing, implementation and enhancement on Bank Supervision Platform.
