As a Lead Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Fraud, Risk team of Consumer and Community banking, you are an integral part of a team that works to develop high-quality architecture solutions for various software applications on modern cloud-based technologies. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical architecture solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of project goals.

Job responsibilities

Partners with business stakeholders and technologists to understand their needs and developing the future state architecture. Develops and maintains a multi-horizon roadmap. Develops expert architecture solutions, balancing the schedule needs, the roadmap, business and technology strategies. Communicates the architecture to senior business and technology leaders. Drives solutions to both internal and public cloud infrastructures. Oversees the cost trade-offs. Drives decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience Ability to learn quickly and recognize patterns in problems and solutions. Expertise in architecting cloud migrations and building cloud-native systems Has a deep knowledge in a particular technology and business solution. Communicates with all levels of business and technology management. Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines.  Fluency in architecture and design across all systems Strong knowledge of the AWS cloud and private clouds. Strong knowledge of big data, Hadoop, AWS storage, and AWS and COTS database solutions Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals Good presentation skills as well as strategic thinking and passion for business strategy and business processes Applications development, ETL or data warehousing and prior Fin-tech experience is highly preferred Desire to learn and understand machine learning and how to incorporate into multi-layered applications
