As a Lead Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Operations Technologies Service Product, you are an integral part of a team that works to develop high-quality architecture solutions for various software applications on modern cloud-based technologies. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical architecture solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of project goals.

Job responsibilities

 

Engages technical teams and business stakeholders to discuss and propose technical approaches to meet current and future needs Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems Develop and design architectural solutions that meet business requirements and are aligned with the company's technology strategy. Provide technical guidance and leadership to development teams throughout the project lifecycle. Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Conduct architecture reviews and ensure that solutions are scalable, maintainable, and meet performance requirements. Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, including diagrams, models, and technical specifications. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery. Ensure that solutions comply with industry standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements. Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information  Promote best practices in software development and architecture, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability Proficiency in relevant programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically. Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar are preferred.
