Our team of game industry veterans is developing and publishing live service AAA multiplayer games and developing original IPs, including New World, with our studios and teams in Seattle, Orange County, San Diego, and Montreal. Amazon Games also publishes best-in-class games working closely with our partners, leading with Lost Ark from Smilegate RPG, Throne and Liberty from NCSOFT, Blue Protocol from Bandai Namco Online as well as the next major entry in the Tomb Raider series from Crystal Dynamics.
As a Lead Artist, you use your skills and experience to lead the at team in creating iconic 3D characters, environment art and concepts, that players will cherish. Your visionary yet pragmatic approach and artistic skills shape the visual identity of these assets, adding depth, emotion and authenticity. By leading the team to excellence, you create memorable connections between players and the compelling assets you and your team bring to life.
Key job responsibilities
- Create high quality 3D assets in line with the game vision and technical constraints;
- Set quality benchmarks for 3D assets for the game;
- Develop workflows according to team and production needs;
- Organize and facilitate regular team meetings to assign tasks, set priorities, discuss progress, etc.
- Adopt the latest tools and techniques to raise the quality bar for environment and character art;
- Evaluate integrated work and ensure it is in harmony with the art direction and can be animated well.
- Provide coaching and constructive feedback to develop a consistent and high-quality visual style.
A day in the life
This position is office-based, with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week in line with Amazon’s current flexible work guidance. Amazon encourages open communication about unique needs for flexible arrangements.
