**Job Title: Lead Assembler** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Lead Assembler to oversee a team of assemblers while also participating in the assembly work. This 'Working Lead' will be responsible for assembling gym equipment, ensuring production schedules are met, and maintaining high standards of quality. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. **Responsibilities** + Oversee the day-to-day production of the assembly line. + Ensure the assembly line meets production schedules. + Communicate with management and report daily production. + Complete the assembly of various models of machines following established procedures. + Maintain and complete required paperwork. + Move machines as required using manual and electric pallet jacks. + Perform other duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + High School graduate or equivalent. + 2 years of assembly experience. + Experience as a Lead/Manager in some capacity. + Ability to operate small air, hand, and electric tools. + Ability to read work instructions and drawings. + Strong communication skills (speak, read, write, and understand). + Solid organizational and problem-solving skills. + Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment. + Computer skills including email and Excel. + Ability to lift up to 30 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally. + Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, sit, twist/turn, climb ladders, reach overhead, and grasp tools as necessary. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Mechanical assembly experience. + Mechanically inclined. **Why Work Here?** As a contractor, you will have access to the company's state-of-the-art gym. However, it is the newest part of the building and is well-lit with skylights and organized. Employees are trained on multiple assembly lines and must be versatile. The work environment is team-oriented, with assembly done in 'pods' or 'cells' of roughly 3-4 people, where they will assemble certain machines and cross-train into other areas. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anoka, Minnesota. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.25 - $24.00/hr.
