As a Lead Associate in our FTEP practice, you’ll play a key role in supporting clients by filling critical skills gaps and driving success in areas like month-end close, financial reporting, compliance, process improvement, and system implementations. What You’ll Do: Accounting & Financial Reporting + Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis. + Prepare and deliver accurate financial statements, reports, and budgeting tools to support business decisions. + Maintain general ledger integrity while overseeing accounts payable/receivable and cash flow management. Compliance & Audit Support + Assist with SOX compliance, financial audits, and regulatory reporting. + Prepare audit schedules, documentation, and work directly with external auditors or tax advisors. + Ensure adherence to GAAP, IFRS, and industry regulations. Process Improvement & Internal Controls + Assess and improve accounting processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. + Strengthen internal controls to mitigate risks and support operational effectiveness. + Provide insights on cost accounting, financial modeling, and best practices. System Implementation & Optimization + Support ERP and financial system implementations (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.). + Train client teams on system functionality and best practices. + Troubleshoot and optimize financial reporting tools. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A) + Develop financial forecasts, budgets, and business models. + Conduct variance analysis, explaining key drivers behind budget-to-actual differences. + Present financial results and recommendations to senior leadership. Requirements Senior Accountant – FTEP Requirements + Experience: 7+ years in accounting, financial reporting, or related roles + Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA or MBA a plus) + Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills + Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP, financial close processes, and internal controls + Soft Skills: Problem-solving mindset, adaptability, and ability to work in diverse industries + Availability: Willingness to work on project-based assignments with different clients Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
