Mission of the Role: to prevent and eliminate injury and sickness to the employees. They assist companies to comply with safety laws in systematic and organized approach. They periodically inspect workplace and machinery to minimize or eliminate potential hazards such as, wrong working methods, high noise levels, contaminated drinking water, polluted air quality or toxic chemicals etc. EHS lead play important role in terms of safety of employees.
Key Objectives of this Role:
Ensure the highest standard of health and safety, and the lowest environmental impact. Providing and maintaining a culture of free and honest incident and accident reporting. Establish clear quality, health and safety and environmental objectives and target. Provide all necessary resources to ensure a safe place of work and safe systems of work. Maintaining a focus on occupational health and health surveillance where required. Provide an effective system of work-related injury and illness rehabilitation. Provide all necessary information, training, and supervision to all its personnel and subcontractors. Continually improve through regular performance reviews. Follow all relevant EHS procedure and instructions which are applicable for respective workplace or activity. Perform other duties as assigned.Qualification, Experience and Skills:
Master’s / bachelor’s degree, preferably in Occupational Health & Safety or Environmental 7+ years of relevant experience preferably in regional or global environment. Authorized Safety Officer, Certified by Government Interpersonal and human relations skills with good planning & organizational skills Good command in English both written and spoken
