**WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH**
In this role, you’ll report to the Director of Nike Direct stores planning for Mexico. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners in Merchandise, Financial Planning, Consumer Planning, Merchandising, as well for NSP Marketplace/ Commercial teams.
**WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR**
We’re looking for an Assortment Planning Manager to join our team. In this role, you will work within the Mexico’s team and you’ll drive the NSP assortment planning to establish clear retail sales plans that tells a story for the season and drive assortment planning decisions. Ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of retail metrics, buying, forecasting, account management, and how they are used across functions to deliver profitable and sustainable growth for Nike. The candidate should also possess strong ability to interpret financial sales data to make decisions and recommendations that impact the business, as well as commercial acumen and ability to influence external accounts. Strong communication skills are critical.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business / Finance Business Planning or related subject area, or combination of relevant education, experience and training
+ 5 years directly relevant work experience in merchandising planning, retail planning, demand planning or merchandising
+ Extensive experience in managing and understanding Retail concepts such as open to buy, gross margin, markups, markdowns, seasonal trending, promotional lifts, inventory turn and sku/store efficiency
+ Advanced Excel skills including complex formulas, pivot tables & macros
+ Strong ability to influence and work constructively as a team member and effectively communicate data-dense and/or sensitive topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience to influence action
+ Outstanding written and verbal communication, analytical capabilities, and strong attention to detail
**WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON**
As an NSP Assortment Planning Manager, you will work within the country team, across Territory and multiple key stakeholders to drive optimal style and classification plans. In this role, you will work closely with Merchandise Financial Planner (MFP) and Merchandising to determine style depth, breath, assortment flow, shipments to achieve financial and retail sales plans. You will lead pre-season and in-season merchandise assortment planning, as well as share consumer-led insights to shape future product strategies.
**Key Deliverables include –**
**Pre – Season:**
+ Work with Country and Territory Planning to refine CC targets for NSP based on retail strategies and opportunities; ensure plan reconciles with topline financial plan developed by the MFP.
+ Partner with Partner Managers to align and make recommendations to Merchandising assortment regarding seasonal product flow strategies.
+ Create OTB investment plans by Franchise, Classification, Gender and Must Win Doors, gather feedback from MFP, Merchandisers, Partner Managers and present to Retailers.
+ Incorporate the estimated impact of seasonal marketing stories, initiatives and key consumer moments into plans.
+ Work with Country and Territory Assortment Planners, Merchandisers and Partner Managers to forecast and manage allocations for Capacity Constrained, Intentionally Constrained and High-Heat/Launch Products, inclusive of partnering with operations on order management.
**In – Season:**
+ Provide recommendations to partners from the ongoing in-season recaps and analysis they presented, in some cases monitor performance of key items and seasonal stories, taking actions to maximize revenue, margin, and inventory productivity.
+ Make recommendations to manage health of inventory and capitalize on key consumer moments.
+ Share insights with cross-functional partners, ensuring the voice of consumer is well accounted for in future and strategies.
**Post – Season:**
+ Recap the performance of the assortment including average weekly sell-through, color performance and SKU productivity.
+ Analyze and report key item contribution and performance of marketing and seasonal stories, proactively provide insights for future planning.
