Lead Audio Visual Technology Specialist III

The Middlebury Institute of International Studies is seeking a Lead Audio Visual Technology Specialist III. The lead provides advanced technical leadership for the Audio Visual Integration and support team, and contributes individual skills and expertise as needed in order to help the team achieve its objectives. This position also services or leads projects requiring high levels of functional integration and engineering, software and hardware expertise, and IT support.

This is a full time, benefits eligible, hourly position with a hiring range of $35.97-$44.96 per hour. It is an in-person role.

Core Responsibilities:

Provides Audio and Video recording, editing, captioning and streaming services and support for multiple campuses. Participate in the build, configuration and documentation of the design, engineering and upgrading of audio visual equipment and integrate technology into campus facilities and learning spaces (virtual and hybrid) Understands the multiple technologies in Video conferencing, touch panel coding, and network device management. The students of AVTS are provided leadership and coaching to ensure effective and consistent technical expertise and excellent customer service. Support systems and services are actively analyzed, evaluated, and developed as part of a team-based group. Coordinates with clients on recommendation, purchase, placement, integration, and ensures functionality of projectors, lighting, microphones, sound mixing, recording and video-conferencing equipment for live events and meetings. External user and internal documentation are accurate and comprehensive. All diagnostics steps and solutions to new technical problems are researched and published as documentation article ideas. Communication with other work areas is effective, ensuring optimal productivity and service to partners, users and the institution.
