CTG is seeking to fill a Lead Auditor opening for our client in Buffalo, NY. Location: Buffalo, NY Duration: 2 months+, possibility of extension Overview: The Lead Auditor leads and executes audits across their assigned domain, ensuring the quality and integrity of audit activities. This individual is responsible for overseeing and executing annual risk assessments, continuous auditing, and remediation plan validations. They will communicate audit progress and findings to Bank Management while overseeing Auditors (as applicable) involved in the assigned audit activities. Primary Responsibilities: Lead and participate in audits from planning to reporting, producing quality deliverables in alignment with the Division's methodology and professional standards while ensuring timely completion. Plan and execute assurance activities and advisory services (including continuous auditing, product delivery assessments, validation procedures, investigations, and retrospective reviews) utilizing modernized auditing methodologies, tools, and approaches. Write audit findings that clearly identify risks and root causes and communicate these findings to Bank Management promptly. Partner with stakeholders, business management, and Risk Management to establish strong working relationships while maintaining independence. Embrace innovative change and help the team adapt to these changes. Incorporate data analytics and other automation techniques into all phases of audits and other activities. Maintain expertise in the assigned subject matter discipline. Coach, develop, and oversee the work of Auditors and new hires, ensuring proper supervision and development. Promote and exemplify the culture of diversity, inclusion, equity, and belonging. Contribute to the achievement of division priorities. Scope of Responsibilities: This individual leads and executes assurance activities and advisory services, maintains relationships and communicates with Bank Management, and oversees Auditors. They ensure all activities conform to professional auditing standards. Reports to an Audit (Senior) Manager. Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities: Oversight of Auditors and new hires in the execution of audits. Review and supervision of work produced by Auditors, ensuring quality and alignment with professional standards. Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or related field. 5+ years of auditing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Strong background in IT auditing and auditing controls (ITGC). Expertise in audit testing and validation procedures. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Education and Experience Preferred: Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or similar audit certifications. Experience in risk management and business advisory services. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
