Lead Azure Admin

Responsibilities:

Implement and manage Active Directory on Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022. Understand Active Directory topology, replication components, and troubleshoot replication issues. Execute domain migration and consolidation for large enterprises. Strategically place Domain Controllers for disaster recovery scenarios and perform metadata cleanup. Manage AD Integrated DNS, DNS migration and consolidation, and configure DNS zones. Handle SRV records, conditional forwarders, root hints, and DNS scavenging procedures. Design, implement, and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and Group Policy Preferences (GPPs). Troubleshoot issues related to trusts and authentication protocols. Work with users and workstation authentication procedures. Remediate issues identified by Risk Assessment Programs. Manage ADFS, Azure AD Connect, and Active Directory Certificate Services. Administer Azure AD environment, including MFA, SSO, PIM, Federations, and SSPR, while troubleshooting related issues. Perform server security hardening, including patching, antivirus, TLS encryption, and security policy implementation. Utilize PowerShell scripting to automate and perform various tasks. Possess conceptual and design knowledge for AD migration and upgrades across Windows Server operating systems (2016/2019/2022).

Additional Skills:

Strong understanding of customer infrastructure and Configuration Items (CIs). ITIL Foundation certification is required. Solid hardware knowledge and basic capacity planning. Basic understanding of storage and backup solutions.

Networking:

Hands-on experience with routers, switches, and firewalls. Knowledge and experience with BGP. Understanding of load balancers and WAN optimizers.

Backup and Storage:

Advanced knowledge of backup and restore tools. Expertise in any storage and backup technology.

Server Management:

Proficiency in PowerShell/BASH/Python scripting for automation. Knowledge of AD Group Policy management, DNS concepts, DHCP, and DFS. Experience with tools like SCCM and SCOM administration.

Monitoring:

Strong knowledge of ITIL processes and functions.

Database:

General understanding of database management systems.

Tools and Operating Systems:

Expertise in troubleshooting Windows and Linux operating systems.
