Lead Barista - Coffee Company - Eldorado (Reno)

JOB SUMMARY

As a barista you will be able to create an excellent experience for our guests through extraordinary service and expertly crafted products. You’ll be in an energetic environment where you’ll have the ability to master your craft, work along side friends and meet new people every day.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (May include, but is not limited to the following) 

Provide quality beverages and food products, properly handle cash and maintain store safety and security Engage with and understand our customers, including discovering and responding to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients or substituted ingredients Available to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business Exemplify our core values, family style service, our mission and vision Exemplify our DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion) culture Perform other job-related duties as assigned 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Customer service experience in a retail or restaurant environment Must present a neat and professional appearance Ability to learn quickly Knowledge of the retail environment Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work as part of a team Ability to build relationships High School diploma or equivalent

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT (May be required in order to perform the essential functions of the position)

Ability to stand for long periods of time Frequent walking  Fast paced, high volume environment involving constant interaction with staff and public.  Must be able to tolerate secondary tobacco smoke

GUEST SERVICE (INTERNAL/EXTERNAL) STANDARDS:  Employee is required to meet and deliver our core values, service standards, and family style service.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must have the ability to provide internal/ external guests with service excellence, have excellent communication skills and observation skills, and have an easygoing demeanor to ensure a fun and safe environment for our guests. Above average speech – both speaking and reading/writing English. Need excellent interpersonal skills. Work requires schedule flexibility, which may include days off, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
