**What you’ll do: **
Under the guidance of the Benefit Advocate Supervisor and Manager, the Lead Benefit Advocate plays a key role in coordinating payment sources and securing reimbursement for hospital services. This position involves assisting patients in understanding their insurance options, setting up payment arrangements, and collecting financial responsibilities. The Lead Benefit Advocate serves as the primary point of contact between the Benefit Advocacy Team and management, ensuring a seamless financial experience for patients.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Work with patients and vendors to apply for and secure payment options.
+ Educate patients on insurance coverage and financial assistance options.
+ Assist patients with application processes for insurance and financial aid.
+ Serve as a subject matter expert, identifying and resolving complex financial issues.
+ Collaborate with various hospital departments to ensure timely account resolution.
+ Monitor self-pay and eligibility pending accounts, following up as needed.
+ Provide pricing estimates for services and collect patient liabilities, including co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances.
+ Oversee ongoing and new hire training for Patient Benefit Advocate colleagues. Assist in updating and maintaining forms, documented processes, tools, and resources.
+ Assist with escalations and ticket submissions
+ Assist with ensuring coverage, timely follow-up, and assigning tasks.
+ Interpret data, identify trends, and escalate unresolved issues to leadership.
+ Maintain knowledge of Federal, State, and local regulations to ensure compliance.
**Shift:** 8:30am – 5:00pm

+ Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist Professional (CRCSP) – AAHAM

**Compensation:**
Pay Range: $19.07 $29.55 per hour
_Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles._
