Shift: This role is 3rd Shift, 9:00 PM-7:00 AM

Hourly Rate: $23.51 an hour

Job Summary:

The Lead Buffer position coordinates and tracks all shipping information in warehouse management system including tracking damaged product, overweight's and building truck loads, ensuring appointment times are met, coordinating samples and hold issues with the Quality Assurance department, observing all safety regulations GMP, and quality standards are met ensuring facility maintenance through good housekeeping practices. You will report to the Logistics Team Leader. You will work onsite at the Council Bluffs location.

Essential Job Functions:

Work the scheduled/assigned times, required overtime for position, and weekendsRead, write, communicate, and comprehend written instructions in EnglishYou will work with forklifts including stand-up, sit-down, hi-lift, and tandems.Work in a cold environmentYou will lead Hourly associates in daily activitiesYou will move up to 75 lbs.Basic math skillsBasic knowledge of computers including spreadsheets (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and emailKnowledge of warehouse management system i.e. SAP

Job Responsibilities:

Print finished product pallet labelsVerify trucks for loadingEnsure daily reports are complete (e.g., daily capacity)Schedule warehouse staffBuild truck loads and track overweight's by warehouse management systemEnsure all load information is correct in warehouse management systemCoordinate with Quality Assurance on sample and hold requestsTrack warehouse capacity in warehouse management system including damaged productAttend daily R&R meetings and participate in daily safety talks

Skills Required:

Knowledge of forklift safety and troubleshootingKnowledge of proper forklift loading proceduresUnderstand the effects of product damageCommunicate with teamsKnowledge of GMP'sBe PIT Certified

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or GED.

Experience: Minimum 6 months forklift experience required. Previous lead experience.
