A day in the Life:Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and repairs on compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, vessels, valves, and other refrigeration equipment.Replace defective mechanical and manual valves, fan motors, and perform motor alignments.Diagnose and address electrical problems, ensuring systems operate technically according to specifications.Layout, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.Routinely inspect facilities to detect malfunctions and ensure safe and effective operation.Collaborate with outside contractors to ensure compliance with safety policies and work standards.Participate in and complete required training sessions for facilities operations and safety.Use the Computerized Maintenance Management System to manage work requests and the Building Automation System to monitor equipment and processes.Keys to Success:EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Type II or EPA Universal Certification requiredPreferred: Associate degree or technical training program plus 5+ years of experience.Experience3+ years of experience in a mechanical/refrigeration/utilities field.Strong knowledge in refrigeration, HVAC, and mechanical systems.Proficiency in reading and interpreting P&ID drawings/schematics.Experience with Microsoft Office applications.Valid driver's license required for travel between sites.Physical RequirementsClimbing ladders and working at heights up to 40 feet.Ability to stand continuously and frequently walk, bend, and lift up to 70 pounds.Must be able to work in both heat and cold environments.Personal Protective Equipment Certification (PPE) is required.
