About the Role

 

PAE is looking for a lead building performance specialist to join our Regenerative Design Group. This group covers specialist services including building performance analysis, renewable energy systems, greenhouse gas analysis and sustainable district planning.  We're looking for someone who can guide designs towards sustainable outcomes through measurable goals and advanced analysis. 

 

 

What You’ll Do

 

Effectively establish measurable goals and design options that can lead diverse stakeholder groups Conduct simulations of energy, water, and emissions using analysis software and custom calculations Coordinate with architects and engineers to facilitate the achievement of project sustainability objectives Advise on concept/analysis/design development of building environmental systems and services Lead client presentations and project design workshops Utilize knowledge of sustainable solutions, building codes and industry standards

 

What You Bring

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Building Science or Architecture with a focus on Building Science Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) optional Requires 3-5 years' experience in energy and emissions analysis MEP or architectural design experience is a plus Proficiency in building performance software such as IES VE, eQUEST, Energy Plus or other similar software Working knowledge of resource flows for HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing systems Deep understanding of architectural integration of systems to create integrated solutions Data analysis skills to quantify complex resource flows across a site or building Ability to lead clients through 3rd party certification programs like LEED, Living Building Challenge, Well, Passive House CPHC a plus Independently evaluates and applies engineering judgment, techniques, and procedures Strong written and verbal communication skills Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge of daylighting modeling is a plus CFD analysis experience a plus Knowledge of graphics tools (Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus Python skills a plus

 

What We Offer 

 

Hiring Base Salary Range: $75,500-$101,000 annual This position is eligible for straight overtime pay 

 

The base salary is one component of PAE’s competitive compensation package for employees. We take into consideration a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, internal equity and geographic location in determining exact salary offered. At PAE, roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases and annual bonuses based on individual performance. The above range represents PAE's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
