Lead Business Analyst

Summary: Goldbelt Professional Services, LLC (GPS) is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead Business Analyst to lead complex projects and provide analytical expertise for the VTrckS system and related initiatives for the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, GA. The CDC is the nation’s premier health promotion, prevention, and preparedness agency. This senior role requires deep technical knowledge, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven ability to manage and deliver high-impact projects. Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Business Requirements and Process Analysis: Document business requirements and data validation processes for VTrckS, NABIP, and other related systems, ensuring adherence to CDC standards. Gather, refine, and maintain business requirements, translating them into functional specifications and use cases. Analyze customer processes and recommend improvements to enhance system functionality and integration. Subject Matter Expertise and Knowledge Sharing: Serve as the subject matter expert on VTrckS and other highly specialized IT systems, including SAP platforms. Provide technical consultation and training for new and existing business analysts to ensure cross-functional knowledge and consistency. Develop instructional materials, SOPs, and knowledge transfer plans for internal and external stakeholders. User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Define and manage UAT criteria, coordinating testing sessions and documenting results. Track and resolve issues and defects identified during testing cycles, preparing reports to support go/no-go decisions for system updates. Defect Management and Technical Support: Lead the triage of defect tickets, coordinating root cause analysis and resolution processes. Monitor and report on open issues and defects, ensuring timely resolution and documentation. Reporting and Technical Advising: Develop comprehensive project documentation and reports, including Critical Path and Key Milestones documents, cost/benefit analyses, and status updates. Provide subject matter expertise on SAP S/4HANA business requirements, coordinating with system integrators to review and refine functionality and documentation. Present findings and recommendations during team and stakeholder meetings. Stakeholder Collaboration and Consultation: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including awardees, program staff, and vendors, to ensure seamless project execution. Qualifications Necessary Skills and Knowledge: Expertise in SAP environments, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP CRM, and SAP HANA. Strong proficiency in business process analysis, requirements documentation, and use case development. Deep knowledge of UAT methodologies and defect management practices. Excellent communication skills, with experience in preparing training materials, project documentation, and status reports. Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in business administration, information systems, or a related field. Minimum 8+ years of experience in business analysis, project management, or IT systems management. Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and work with cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications: Doctorate in business administration, information systems, or a related field. Experience with CDC systems or public health IT initiatives. Certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or PMP (Project Management Professional). Strong background in SAP systems, including S/4HANA implementation and support.
