The opportunity
The role is for an experienced hands-on and (preferably certified) Business Analyst who has a passion for working directly with clients, business partners and subject matter experts, determining customer needs and providing clearly defined business requirements. As an experienced BA Consultant you will actively engage with the business to create detailed business cases and clear problem-solving statements. We want you to be pro-active, curious, enthusiastic and open to new experiences.
Your key responsibilities
Lead/coordinate work of other Business Analysts as per project requirements Coach & mentor other BA’s to overcome project hurdles and maximize delivery outcomes Design functional specifications of applications to address business and user needs Identify internal and external factors which may impact requirements Document requirements including customer journey, features, user stories, cross-team dependencies, separating core product build vs. integration features, outlining what is in and out of scope Prepare and present a compelling business case for proposed solutions Determine objectives, dependencies, resources, timelines, metrics, costs and risks associated with the proposed plans and initiatives Help identify problems, opportunities and methods for improving existing business processes and workflows Use a variety of business process and workflow design tools and techniques Support the evaluation of tradeoffs from the incorporation of different elements into the design and their impact on overall functionality, interoperability, efficiency and costs of the software Participate in the development of systems during various stages of the development lifecycle
Skills and attributes
Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills Experience in process mapping, requirements elicitation and business case formation. Ability to be the interface between subject matter experts, business owners and technical experts. Strong workshops facilitation skills Proven delivery focus – understand what needs to be done and when and can help the Project Manager and Business Owner deliver to this
To qualify for the role you must have
10y+ professional experience (min. 4 years of experience as Business Analyst) Readiness to travel (approx. up to 10% of working time in a year) Minimum experience with two (2) Software Development Projects Expertise in business case creation and requirements gathering Experience in articulating user stories and establishing further directions Knowledgeable and practitioner of the SCRUM framework Sufficient knowledge to help build and refine consulting frameworks around processes, technology and people to enable clients create enhanced B2C/B2B customer journeys, digital products, applications and touchpoints. Proficiency in English (strong C1 level or higher) Proficiency in German (strong C1 level or higher)
Ideally, you’ll also have
Cross-domain knowledge (experience working in multiple areas) Experience in Health Sector or Insurance/Health-Sector Cross-functional capabilities (capable of working as both Functional and IT Business Analyst) Certification in the field of Business Analytics (e.g., CBAP from IIBA or UML from OMG) Other certification in the field of Business Analytics (e.g. PMI – PBA) Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of an organization Ability to multi-task and manage ambiguity
