A member of our recruitment team will provide more details. **Job Summary** The Data Management Engineering team is embarking on a transformative journey to define, enable, and drive our data strategy. We aim to engage with partners across technology, data, and operations to develop and deliver valuable business outcomes with data at the center. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join us as Vice President, Lead Business Data Enablement Engineer, reporting to the Head of Data Management Engineering for Enterprise Data & Data Capabilities. This role requires someone who can effectively bridge IT and business teams, masterfully speak the language of both, and articulate how data and data management capabilities are delivered and utilized within the organization. This is a visible and impactful position, requiring engagement with senior stakeholders and consultation with business owners and technologists to exchange information concisely, logically, and collaboratively. The role will help define data solutions and capabilities in line with the overall strategy of technology and the business, while advancing a strong culture of data management and data literacy. **Major Responsibilities** + Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders to understand their business challenges and identify how data solutions can support their objectives. + Empower business and corporate functions with robust data capabilities, ensuring clear lineage to products, services, and business processes, providing valuable data insights within the business context, and facilitating seamless data access. + Develop a deep understanding of upstream dependencies and origins of data products to generate meaningful data-driven insights. + Build cohesive and productive bridges between frontline business and corporate functional partners and technology. + Optimize data product lifecycle management to drive modernization and value from our data assets. Identify process and procedural optimizations to advance data governance, management, and use. + As a data leader, proactively engage with data users to drive data maturity, adoption, and self-service. Facilitate a culture of continuous improvement and data systems thinking. + Partner with stakeholders to recommend and design strategic data solutions to solve data modernization, data integration, and consumption challenges. + Translate data usage requirements into specifications for data management capabilities and solutions. + Contribute to the evolution of a business user data catalog and the advancement of data literacy across the organization. + Partner with technology peers to promote common architecture patterns and practices across the enterprise. + Manage tasks and resources required to execute projects in a matrixed organization. + Support data use training and data literacy for data users. **Qualifications** + 10+ years of data experience in the Banking & Financial Services sector from a technology, data, and/or business operations perspective. + 10+ years of experience in data management and/or data product development. + 7+ years of experience in business, systems, and data architecture, and analysis. + Proven experience as a Data Engineer and/or Business Data Architect or similar role, with a focus on business value creation and enablement. + Bachelor’s degree in science, business, management, or finance-related fields. + Advanced degree is a plus. Data Management Engineering Skills: + Experience in data analysis, data reporting, data catalogs, and metadata. + Experience with business information models, 3NF data models, dimensional data models, etc. + Experience with enterprise data lakes, data lake houses, or data fabrics. + Experience with data pipelines (ETL) and data quality controls. + Experience with reporting and analytic solutions, including data marts. + Experience in business, data, and application architecture and process re-engineering. Technical Skills: + Experience with data management tools such as Collibra, Informatica Data Quality, etc. + Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, etc. + Experience with relational databases such as DB2, Oracle, etc. + Exposure to data virtualization and data integration/ETL tools such as Denodo, Informatica, Databricks. + Exposure to cloud solutions such as Snowflake. + Experience in Jira, Confluence, MS Office. Business Acumen & Human: + Expertise in business requirements analysis, design, functional and detail design within the Banking & Financial Services sector. + Strong organizational, communication (verbal and written), and people skills. + Ability to present to senior management and train client audiences on a business and technical level. + Demonstrated ability to build consensus across business areas and other stakeholders to support new ways of thinking about capabilities. + Ability to quickly transition as priorities change. + Detail-oriented, but strategic in thinking with the ability to tell a story and sell a vision. + Demonstrates effective negotiation and influencing skills. The typical base pay range for this role is between $143K - $182K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
