The Global Supply Management (GSM) Function is recognized as a critical function for business success.  It delivers the training, tools and opportunities needed to create innovative solutions for the function & the corporation.  GSM has leading edge, effective processes to anticipate and exceed customer requirements.

 

Role Purpose:

Leads the development and execution of Global Supply Management (GSM) Strategic Sourcing strategies, policies, tactics and objectives for assigned complex global commodities that align and are linked with the business units, commercial, supply chain and manufacturing strategies. This role will directly support the Technology Community (R&D) while maintaining sourcing collaboration across all Coring Businesses as it related to new product and business development. Sourcing collaboration will be required with corresponding category leads from the corporate level as well. Main responsibilities will include managing various sourcing areas of responsibility, including operations support, capital equipment purchases, IT software and hardware procurement, specific project and other related activities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Develops and/or assists with Strategic Sourcing plans and objectives (short & long term) based on forecasts of future demand and taking into account economic and currency trends and conditions that affect GSM, the business, and the global commodity sourced. Works with the Business, GSSM, and Buyers on assigned global commodities to prepare and solicit competitive bids, quotations, and proposals with pertinent specifications, terms and conditions. Develops and reviews specifications, statements of work, performance terms and accept/reject criteria. Conducts negotiations with potential and/or current major suppliers to obtain maximum value. Leads the development and communication of global supply intelligence for assigned commodities. Owns the Supplier Relationship Management process for the assigned commodities. Develops and cultivates effective relationships with suppliers. Develop, maintain and execute Shared Objectives and Service Level Agreements. Champions and advocates for the Global Buying Policy. Ensures compliance.

 

Education/Experience Required:

Bachelors Degree required Experience in manufacturing – operations, planning, engineering, supply management, or procurement. Experience as a Plant or Corporate Buyer 5 - 7 years of related experience within supply chain Experience with contract management and negotiations

 

Desired Experience:

Experience across multiple businesses, divisions and/or technologies. Experience with global manufacturing and business through work or project experience. Experience working in a matrix environment or on a cross functional team.

The range for this position is   $77,358.00 - $106,368.00  assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
