Lead Capital Markets ISDA Document Negotiator

Wells Fargo is seeking a ISDA Lead Capital Markets Document Negotiator for the negotiation of various trading agreements as part of the growth of Wells Fargo’s Institutional business within Corporate & Investment Banking. In this role, you will:

Prepare, negotiate, and track various trading and financing agreements such as the ISDA Master Agreement and the Cleared Derivative Execution Agreement with a focus on investment managers and other institutional counterparties such as dealers, insurance companies, banks, pension plans and hedge funds. Act as escalation point and peer reviewer for other negotiators on team. Drive new business pipeline with all stakeholders according to business priorities (working closely with business to establish and manage priorities as necessary)Work on various projects, including regulatory implementation, amending and updating templates, processes and systemsInterpret policy when working with legal, credit and the relevant businessIdentify and mitigate business and legal risks within compliance requirementsIdentify and recommend opportunities for process improvementCollaborate and influence all levels of professionals

Required Qualifications, US:

5+ years of Capital Markets Document Negotiation experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

5+ years’ experience with ISDAs and CDEAs, with exposure to other trading documentation such as GMRAs, MRAs Sponsored Repo annexes and related Treasury Clearing documentation and  MSFTAs.Familiarity with Regulatory IM (Independent Margin) documentation including Account Control AgreementsExisting negotiation relationships with investment managers and understanding of the related documentation issuesExperience reviewing and affirming counterparty organizational documentation and jurisdictional guidelines to ensure legal contract enforcement, collateral offset and that close out netting capabilities are maximizedStrong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy, particularly as they relate to ongoing regulatory initiativesNegotiator must demonstrate understanding of, and adherence to, relevant compliance, credit, legal, regulatory, operational and business policies and procedures and be able to explain and articulate documentation issues concisely and clearly to internal stakeholders with the ability to think through solutionsExcellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience such as customers and senior managementAbility to practice a high degree of organization so that multiple negotiations can be prioritized and managedExcellent understanding of the underlying transaction and security documents and be able to grasp and articulate basic credit, operational, legal and business issues which arise during the negotiation and execution processes

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$138,500.00 - $287,600.00
