Job Description
We are seeking a Carpentry Foreman who will be trained to run their own jobs independently. The role involves inspecting attics for roof and siding entry points for bats and other small animals, performing caulking and light carpentry on window soffits and foundations, and communicating with customers to provide solutions.
ResponsibilitiesInspect attics to identify roof and siding entry points for bats and other small animals.Perform caulking and light carpentry on window soffits and foundations.Inspect jobs and inform customers of necessary repairs.Identify entry points for animals and fix them using caulking, boards, and plywood.Estimate material and labor costs and obtain customer approval to proceed with the job.Operate and maintain a company truck, ensuring it is clean and stocked with materials.Provide humane solutions to help animals leave naturally.Essential Skills2+ years of general construction experience.Knowledge of light carpentry.Proficiency with hand and power tools.Ability to pass a post-offer, drug screen, and motor vehicle record check.Additional Skills & QualificationsClean motor vehicle record (MVR).Why Work Here?
We offer paid vacation and holidays, along with the opportunity to earn commissions on all jobs once certified (up to 10%). For example, if you sell a customer a $3,500 job, you will receive an additional $350 in commission on top of your hourly pay.
Work Environment
You will work outdoors and in attics, which can experience varying temperatures. The work schedule is from 7 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday.

This is a Contract position based out of Des Moines, Iowa.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
