Lead - Carpenter/Painter General Info Job Type: Full-Time Location: Four Seasons Environmental, Inc. - Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - Chamblee, Georgia Pay: $29.97/per hour plus fringe benefit $10.01/hr. ($7.51 H&W / $2.50 401k contribution) *Shift Differential: 4% (2nd Shift) or 6% (3rd Shift) differential pay only if the majority of hours worked fall within the shift differential window Benefits: + Medical Insurance + Dental Insurance + Life Insurance + Retirement Benefit + Disability Insurance Hours: 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM - Monday through Friday (8-hour shifts) Job Description + Candidates must be able to set up, organize and direct the work of other Carpenter/painters and General Maintenance Workers. Must be familiar with the ISO Quality System. Must be familiar with JSA Builder and drafting of JSA’s. Must have experience estimating and quoting jobs. Must be familiar with FSE’s safety policies. Must have experience with grounds maintenance and directing projects associated with grounds maintenance (i.e. installing retaining walls, pavers, planting new shrubs, etc.). + The Lead Carpenter/Painter directs other Carpenter/Painters to perform the carpentry duties necessary to maintain in good repair building woodwork and equipment such as benches, partitions, and doors. Directs Painters to perform touch-up painting and large paint projects as necessary to maintain in good repair building walls, doors and exteriors. + Work involves most of the following: planning and laying out of work from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions, using a variety of carpenter's hand tools, portable power tools and standard measuring instruments, and making standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work; and selecting materials necessary for the work. In general, the work of the maintenance carpenter requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
