Do you have one year of experience working in a child welfare or a related service setting? We have a full time opportunity for a Foster Care Case Aide Worker at our JDetroit Michigan offices.
This position transports our youth throughout southeast Michigan.
Some automobile travel is required: a valid, un-restricted driver's license with a good driving record and valid proof of automobile insurance in your name are also required for this people-centric role. You will supervise children during their appointment, either at their home, our offices or other appropriate sites, observing and documenting the child, foster parents and birth parents according to policy; report observations to social worker. This position has a pay rate of $14.25 hourly plus mileage

Under the direction of Case Manager Supervisor, provides staff supervision, and coordinates schedules and work activities for Case Aide staff in accordance with applicable contractual and regulatory requirements ad accreditation standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
+ Provide day-to-day leadership and support to Case Aides. Lead team meetings and provide initial and on-going training to staff
+ Maintain current knowledge of applicable program requirements to ensure effective coordination of daily work schedule for case aides in assigned program. Monitor and adjust work schedule for case aides to meet client needs and service delivery requirements; facilitate scheduling changes in a timely manner. Track Case Aide hours worked to ensure attainment of budgetary and program delivery requirements
+ Provide liaison/coordination for foster care Case Managers, supervisor and Case Aides to address daily needs and changes
+ Coordinate and provide supervision and transportation for foster children to and from medical appointments or family visits. With assigned case manager, assist with transport for client placements and/or replacements to clinics and other agencies
+ Supervise children during appointments either at home, office, or at other appropriate sites
+ Observe, document, and report to Case Managers activity related to child, foster, and birth parents in accordance with center and division policy and contract requirements

Job Qualifications
Education, Training, and Licensure/Certification
+ High School Diploma required
+ Associate’s degree in human services or related field preferred
Experience
+ Two years’ direct experience in a child welfare or related service setting preferred
+ Supervisory experience preferred
Additional Work Requirements
+ May be required to work extended hours
+ Unrestricted valid driver’s license with good driving record. Reliable personal transportation suitable for safely transporting persons served; proof of current automobile insurance
