THE ROLE

Provide leadership, direction and support to create an amazing shopping and team member experience where expectations are consistently exceeded. Drive profitable sales by ensuring that every guest receives an amazing check-out experience through your active supervision of your team to deliver a positive and accurate complex experience.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Operate registers and perform general checkout functions. Provides clear direction and the support needed to maintain an efficient register complex environment. Maintain a high sense of urgency to complete fast price check inquiries and complete the sale to avoid delays at the register complex. Be highly aware of any possible internal or external theft and alert Loss Prevention when necessary. Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe work environment.  Understand the operation of the cash register and follow all cash handling procedures. Communicate and address guest conflicts and provide resolution. Assist cashiers with requests such as price checks. Ensure line control and speedy checkout as needed. Supervision of the outpost self – checkout area. Ensure breaks are taken as scheduled and that staffing meets the needs of the business. Attendance and Punctuality is a requirement.

Create opportunities for people to grow.  Train and mentor cashiers on guest service and cash handling procedures.   Previous Sales / retail experience  Strong interpersonal skills  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lead and motivate a sales team. Must be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as the needs of the business dictate.

 

COMPENSATION

Competitive salary $19.00 - $21.00 hourly, commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.
