Position Responsibilities:

Answers telephone promptly; preferably by the third ringEnsure calls are identified and properly categorized in order to forward to appropriate area within office timely and efficientlyDemonstrates proper telephone etiquette when receiving, transferring, and placing calls on holdHold times are to be kept to a minimumRepeats key information when writing down messages to ensure accuracyAccurately enters patient demographics information and insurance data in the computer as documentedVerifies insurance information, collect referrals and authorizations, and/or other forms as documentedEfficiently schedules appointments, recording them as documented and following practice policyEnsures that authorizations are obtained prior to scheduling procedures/testingConsistently demonstrates a clear understanding of departmental needs and job functions as assigned by department Manager and/or immediate supervisorDemonstrates flexibility as well as ability to perform multiple functions within the practice to increase departmental efficiencyNotify supervisor of any problems pertaining to processing the patients for upcoming testing/proceduresDemonstrates the knowledge necessary to communicate with other offices in an effort to accurately and efficiently schedule testing/procedures

Qualifications:

School Diploma or equivalent.Fluent in English/SpanishClerical ExperienceCustomer Service experience
