Job Summary:

The Lead Angiography/Special Procedures Technologist acts as the expert-level principal radiologic technologist overseeing the technical operations required for the performance of routine and advanced procedures.

Essential Functions: 

Assists Licensed Practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized interventional and neuro-Interventional procedures.Assists in coordination of research and implementation of process improvement projects in the department.Coordinates work assignments including on-call schedule.Provides input to leadership regarding hiring and annual performance appraisals.Administers contrast with a power injector as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.Assesses patient risk for allergic reaction prior to administration.Selects and operates the imaging equipment and associated equipment.Verifies patient’s clinical history and completes pre and post procedural documentation.                                                                                                                                                                                                                 

Education:

Associates from an ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) accredited institute (required)


Licensure/Certification:

Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (required)Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association (preferred)Certification and Registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)  (required)Certification in Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography (preferred)Certification in Vascular-Interventional Radiology (preferred)State Licensure (preferred)

Experience:
