Position Purpose

The ideal candidate will work in conjunction with the CSP Manager, oversee the shift preparation and issuance of all supplies, medical and surgical, used in the care and treatment of pa­tients. 

What will you do.

Ensure procedures are followed when handling, sterilizing, and packaging medical and surgical items to ensure cleanliness and sterility of items.  Ensures established aseptic standards are follow­ed to minimize potential for spread of infection and/or disease. Trains new staff on department procedures.  Maintains a positive attitude and provides constructive feedback and suggestions to ensure department’s needs are met.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High School education with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a Sterile Processing Department.  Operating Room experience preferred.

Certification: CSP certification required with the ability to train new staff.
