This position is full time Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:30 am – 4 pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Employees are required to work onsite 1-2 days per week.
We offer 4 weeks of on-the-job-training. The hours of training will be 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. Training will be conducted onsite at 2925 Chicago Avenue Minneapolis, MN 55407.

Primary Responsibilities:
Organizes and maintains health information records. Reviews pre-electronic medical record (EMR) and electronic chart documentation ensuring correct patient, location, and no duplicate information. Processes release of information (ROI) requests. Manages requests for documentation and information. Locates, logs, retrieves, files, and delivers medical records stored in various mediums and systems. Distributes reports and results. Assists in managing day-to-day operations of staff. Provides oversight of staff and delegate work. Trains and mentors health information processors. Leads lower-level staff on complicated activities. May provide input on performance reviews and corrective actions for staff. Serves as escalation support for problem-solving from staff. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED 18 years of age or older 2+ years’ experience in Health Information Management (HIM) 2+ yrs of analyzing customer problems/customer service Must have the ability to train full time onsite for the first four weeks training at 2925 Chicago Avenue Minneapolis, MN 55407 Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel (create, edit, save documents and spreadsheets) and Outlook (email and calendar management) Ability to work onsite 1-2 days per week at 925 Chicago Avenue Minneapolis, MN Ability to work Monday – Friday, 07:30AM – 04:00PM
Preferred Qualifications:
Medical terminology experience Experience leading a team RHIA/RHIT credential Experience working in a call center

Reside within commutable distance to the office at 2925 Chicago Avenue Minneapolis, MN 55407 Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable) Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
