As a Lead Cloud AI Platforms Engineer, you will bring your technical skills to a hospitality company with an award-winning culture. On the Cloud Engineering team reporting to the Senior Manager Cloud Platforms, you will support projects including projects for Hilton's Data Science, Distribution, and Call Center teams.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.

\n

What your day-to-day will be like:

\n\nBe the lead technical expert on a team of Cloud AI Platform Engineers.\nCommunicate with team members and keep project delivery on target.\nIdentify opportunities for AI, ML and data infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code, improvements in configuration management, monitoring, alerting, and create solutions for complex cloud infrastructure challenges.\n\n

How you will collaborate with others:

\n\nSupport Hilton's Cloud AI and ML platforms including LLM application development, prompt engineering, data engineering, LLM safeguards, testing, and go-to-market strategies.\nSupport the Hilton Hybrid Cloud environment, including escalation support for operations and support teams, participate in on-call rotations, and work alongside other engineering teams to ensure adherence to Hilton standards and processes.\nUnderstand Hilton’s security policies and provide detailed guidance on vulnerability management to the cloud estate.\n\n

What projects you will take ownership of:

\n\nBe a technical expert to different parts of the business, consult business and application teams on AI and ML cloud patterns, and build AI and ML solutions using infrastructure as code tools (IAC) and processes and other popular cloud tools.\nAssist teams in deploying workloads into AWS Bedrock, AWS SageMaker Studio, OpenSearch, and other cloud AI and ML technologies.\n\n

WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT

\n

You have these minimum qualifications:

\n\nFive (5) years of professional work experience in Technology or related field\nTwo (2) years of professional work experience in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, or Data Science\nExperience with AWS cloud architecture, especially its core services (e.g., EC2, S3, EKS, RDS, networking) and an understanding of its AI, ML and data offerings.\nKnowledge of AWS Bedrock, SageMaker AI, LLMs, and other cloud machine learning technologies, deployment patterns and wide variety of AWS components.\nExperience with containerization and Kubernetes and automation technologies and processes using CI/CD tools.\nExperience in cloud platform engineering and tooling, including Terraform, AWS Command Line, Linux shell scripting, or Python including common AI and ML libraries\nFamiliarity with cloud costing and optimization\nSolid understanding of cloud security and networking concepts.\nMust be willing to work a hybrid schedule out of one of our three US corporate office locations (McLean, Dallas, Memphis)\nTravel up to 10%.\n\n

It would be useful if you have:

\n\nBachelor’s Degree, or Associate’s Degree plus 6+ years of Technology-related experience, or High School Degree/GED. plus 12+ years of technology-related experience.\nSeven (7) + years of professional work experience in Data Science, Technology or a related field.\nFinOps certifications (Practitioner, Engineer, or Professional)\nFamiliarity with AI and ML technologies like LLM app development, prompt engineering, data engineering, AI and ML security, logging and observability.\n\n
