**Req ID:** RQ193403 **Type of Requisition:** Regular **Clearance Level Must Be Able to Obtain:** Top Secret **Public Trust/Other Required:** None **Job Family:** Systems Engineering **Skills:** Building Architecture,Cloud Based Services,Cloud Computing,Systems Design **Experience:** 8 + years of related experience **US Citizenship Required:** Yes **Job Description:** **GDIT, in support of the Defense Enterprise Office Solution (DEOS) Cloud Service Offering contract, is seeking a Lead Cloud Engineer with extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS cloud solutions.** **This position is hybrid with the understanding the role must be onsite several days a week, as needed to meet timelines established with the customer. 50% of work will require performance in a secure facility in Chantilly, VA, Ft. Meade, MD, or Columbus, OH.** **How you will make an impact:** **The Lead Engineer will work closely with a cross functional team of engineers (e.g., M365, Infrastructure, Automation, Solution Architects, 3rd party) to plan, develop, deploy, and sustain customer solutions within the IL5/IL6/IL7 environments.** **This role will be responsible for working with the engineering leads in the functional areas to assign tasks, to ensure work is being completed on a timely basis, and any roadblocks or issues are elevated appropriately.** **The Lead will also work with the engineers, cyber team, operations team, and program management team to guide governance discussions, requirements gathering, analysis, and propose technical solutions to implement, monitor, and maintain long term compliance with baseline configurations.** **The successful candidate is expected to have familiarity with cloud concepts related to security, networking, and architecture. Additionally, the candidate should have strong skills in a broad set of infrastructure and operational technologies to include virtualization, multi-tenant, and zero trust.** **The Lead will act as a trusted advisor to the customer and overall team and represent the customer and team in meetings attended by various levels of personnel within the Department.** **This role will be responsible for working with the team to identify delivery timelines and set appropriate expectations with the customer and program management.** **While considered an overall Subject Matter Expert, the successful candidate in this role must be comfortable working with the Team to obtain answers not readily known prior to conveying an answer to the customer.** **As the Lead Engineer, this role will work closely with GDIT’s Program Management for the customer.** **What you will need to succeed (Required):** **Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 8 years’ experience required. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.** **Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret required.** **CompTIA Security+ or similar IAT Level II DoD 8570 certification required.** **Minimum of 3 years of Cloud Service experience.** **Networking expertise (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VOIP, SSL, VPN, network topology, firewall, etc.).** **Microsoft Office 365 expertise (Azure Active Directory, Exchange, One Drive, etc.).** **Expertise of information technology principles, methods, and techniques as well as knowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipment.** **Expertise in DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (CC-SRG) and SCCA Architectures including Cloud Access Point (CAP) architectures.** **Ability to develop architectural position, design, and specification papers.** **Comfortable translating technical ideas and solutions to be understood by non-technical leaders.** **Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment.** **Ability to motivate teams to perform despite unanticipated changes in priorities.** **Comfortable working with and leading a team that includes remote and on-site personnel.** **What you will need to succeed (Desired): ** **Expertise in cloud service delivery network models.** **Experience with MS Office 365 design, deployment and migration.** **Experience with managed service delivery models.** **Experience with hybrid and cloud service delivery models.** **Familiarity with Agile methodology.** **CCNA/CCIE or Equivalent Certification preferred.** **GDIT is your place:** **Full-flex work week to own your priorities at work and at home.** **401K with company match.** **Comprehensive health and wellness packages.** **Internal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career.** **Professional growth opportunities including paid education and certifications.** **Cutting-edge technology you can learn from.** **Rest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays.** The likely salary range for this position is $161,500 - $218,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
