This position is a working 'lead', having both line serving and back of the house cooking responsibilities. Provides support to department manager through coordination of daily operations and leads non-clinical staff. Monitors hot and cold food production in all service areas. Assists with developing recipes and menus for use in café and catered events. Maintains par levels, and orders food supplies, maintaining balance between cost and quality.

This position provides training and coaching to assure that all staff members are fully competent in their job performance. Inspires and motivates staff to assure all department standards are met. Assist with assigning work responsibilities to the production team and making daily decisions regarding production and line service.

Required Qualifications:

Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement. Upon hire: National Food Handler Card - State County City Authority. Within 6 months (180 days) of hire National ServSafe Manager Certification - National Restaurant Association. 5 years working in a full service restaurant or institutional food service facility with diversified work experience which includes line/grill/broiler cook, production cook, catering, soup or sauté cook. 3 years experience working from scratch recipes and strong experience prepping and portioning items needed in the production process. Experience working successfully in a team environment to accomplish common goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

2 years experience as production 'lead' or experience working in other leadership capacity. 2 years experience using food production software (i.e. Computrition).
