National Grid is hiring a Lead Coordinator, Electric Work methods for Massachusetts. This is a Hybrid Role - Must live within a commutable distance to one of our locations
Job PurposeAs the Coordinator of Electric Transmission Work Methods, you will provide support to the National Grid Transmission Maintenance and Construction group. You will be expected to have a strong background in Electric Transmission operating procedures, construction, materials, work practices with Safety as the forefront to all the above. Working closely with many groups is required, such as Safety, Material Standards, Procurement/Buyers, and Stores-Warehouse.
Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required Develop relationships with key stakeholders to explain and support the implementation of National Grid Transmission construction standards and procedures. Demonstrate National Grid leadership qualities with particular emphasis on bringing a strategic viewpoint on the activities of the team, including utilizing external best practices and engaging electric transmission line stakeholders. Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (EIT or PE is desirable) with five years’ experience in electrical operations; or an equivalent combination of higher education, training and work experience will be considered. Experience on the Electric Transmission systems is required with a strong background in construction, operations, and maintenance of such systems with Safety as the primary focus (CUSP Certification is desirable.) Be familiar with regulatory standards, interpret and apply accordingly in the interest of the company.
