Lead Corrosion Control Specialist
The **Lead Corrosion Control Specialist** organizes the daily routine activities of a team of workers placed under his direct supervision, ensuring that those workers in the performance of their duties practice correct and safe corrosion control working procedures. Monitors that quality work is being performed. Ensures compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Amentum ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS). **Principal Accountabilities** + Supervises and organizes the routine activities of a team of workers placed under his direct control. + Ensures that correct trade practices are carried out at all times, with special regard to health and safety aspects in a work environment of high-risk health hazards. + Performs servicing maintenance and repairs tools and equipment used in the performance of corrosion control activities. + Responsible for the quality end products achieved by his particular work team and to provide basic trade training where required. + Provides an effective communication link between the workforce and management. + Carries out quality control stage inspections and final examinations to guarantee that the end item achieves the required standard. + Prepares and completes documentation during work orders, Quality Control self-inspection checklist, USAF/Amentum forms and updates historical data on maintenance records. + Performs other duties as assigned. + Works in maintenance shop or warehouse environment and may be required to work outdoors for extended periods. **Minimum Requirements** + Must have excellent organizational skills and be able to understand, speak, read and write English at an intermediate level. + Must possess an understanding of mil thickness and tools required to perform those measurements. + Must possess a comprehensive and proven knowledge in a wide and varied range of refinishing schemes and techniques. + Should have a basic mechanical skill in order to effect repairs and adjustments as required on tools and equipment. + Must possess a depth of knowledge of associated health and hazard risks and the established precautions. + Must possess a valid home country driver's license and ability to obtain host nation driver's license. + Will be required to operate material handling equipment. + Must possess a valid home country driver's license and ability to obtain host nation driver's license. + High School diploma or equivalent required. + Possesses a qualification in painting and finishing and will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in corrosion control. + A thorough experience and knowledge of all aspects of corrosion control schemes and techniques are essential. + Will be required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to prescribed procedures and as required for task being performed. + Must be able to meet physical requirements associated with and/or pass any medical examination requirements related to performing daily assigned tasks. + Physically capable of performing all required duties; capable of lifting/pushing/pulling minimum of 50lbs.
