Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Data Analyst to join our GWS Shared Services Data.Analytics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with the GWS Operations teams and crafting and implementing advanced data and analytics solutions, leveraging a variety of technologies and tools. This role requires expertise in SQL, Python, Node.js, React, and PowerBI, and it is based in Dallas, TX. In addition to technical skills, this role emphasizes strong soft skills, including communication, presentation, and understanding the specific needs of our Real Estate and Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Solutions Development:
o Design, develop, and maintain data analytics solutions using SQL Server and SSMS.
o Utilize SQL for querying, transforming, and analyzing large datasets.
o Develop and maintain APIs to acquire and process data from various sources.
o PowerApps – develop tooling for business improvement and maintain current tools
2. Web Development:
o Collaborate with the web development team to integrate data analytics solutions within our website framework.
o Utilize Node.js and React to develop and maintain front-end and back-end components of web applications.
3. Data Analysis and Reporting:
o Perform data analysis using Python to derive insights and support decision-making processes.
o Develop interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports using PowerBI to communicate findings to stakeholders.
4. Technical Expertise:
o Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of data throughout the data lifecycle.
o Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our data analytics capabilities.
5. Soft Skills and Business Understanding:
o Develop a deep understanding of the Real Estate and Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) businesses, including their leaders, operations, and specific data needs.
o Engage with business leaders to gather requirements, understand challenges, and design tailored data solutions that address their needs.
o Demonstrate exceptional communication and presentation skills, effectively conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
o Build strong relationships with business units, ensuring ongoing alignment and collaboration.
6. Collaboration and Leadership:
o Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts, to deliver comprehensive data solutions.
o Mentor and guide junior data analysts, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analytics, database management, and web development.
• Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in SQL and experience with SQL Server and SSMS.
o Strong knowledge of database structure and API technology functionality.
o Proficiency in Node.js and React for web development.
o Advanced skills in Python for data analysis and general data tasks.
o Experience with PowerBI for creating data visualizations and reports.
o Experience with MS Flow/Power Automate for creating data handling tools.
• Soft Skills:
o Excellent communication and presentation skills.
o Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively.
o Ability to understand business needs and translate them into actionable data solutions.
