Your Role at Baxter:

The Lead Analyst, Data Governance is responsible for coordinating with all internal and external stakeholders providing various, complex, and detailed data analysis for all applicable operational areas and/or departments. The individual is responsible for effectively identifying and communicating issues and resolutions by effectively applying process-improvement and/or problem-solving techniques. The Lead Analyst, Data Governance provides analytic and reporting leadership to the organization and makes well-informed business decisions about our data, consistent with current trends in the healthcare industry. This role will exist in the Baxter Data Governance Organization.

What You'll Be Doing:Performs ad-hoc on demand to sleuth immediate data quality issues,Participates in forensic analysis,Designs and develops visual analytical presentations that provides insight about data quality,Supports the creation and cataloging of data quality rulesPerforms source to target mappingAssists end-users, Business Owners and Information Technology departments with interpretation of data, reports, and analytical resultsPerforms data quality assessments on proposed data feeds or on existing files and repositories, applying manual query methods, visual observation, and/or data profiling tools, resulting in new processes or standards to improve data qualityChampions and contributes to data glossary terms and definitions; research and studies applicable standards to apply, ensuring crystal clear definitions of data elements.Provides knowledge transfer about the organizations data to end usersUnderstands Business Requirements Documents, resulting in detailed input into the design of new tables and data structuresAssists in crafting and instructing data usage training sessions (data boot camps).Develops data related Policies & Procedures utilizing various mediums, including but not limited to flow-chart mapping and written narrativesActively participates in Data Governance efforts, contributing to the decision-making processWhat You'll Bring:4 plus years or relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, alternatively candidates with 6 plus years of relevant experience can be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.Knowledge of data quality assessment techniques, reference data management, aggregation and drill down concepts. Data Management best practicesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while maintaining a constant focus on data quality-improvementProficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)Excellent verbal and written communication skills!Subject Matter specialist in one of the following areas is a plus: Clinical, Financial, Manufacturing, Sales, or MarketingStrong experience in SQL, Data Visualization tools or Data Modeling is a plus

This role is 100% remote.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $120,000 to $165,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
