About the Job:
As a Lead Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing data integration and ETL processes using Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS). You will also lead and mentor a team of data engineers, ensuring best practices and fostering development within the team. You will work closely with our data engineering and analytics teams to ensure seamless data flow and integration across various data sources and destinations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of ETL pipelines using Informatica IICS.Integrate various data sources, including on-premises and cloud-based systems.Optimize and troubleshoot data integration processes to ensure efficiency and reliability.Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous testing and validation processes.Perform data mapping, transformation, and cleansing to meet business needs.Document ETL processes and maintain up-to-date records of data integration workflows.Stay current with Informatica IICS updates and best practices.Mentor and guide junior data engineers on best practices and technical skills.Lead and manage a team of data engineers, providing direction, support, and growth opportunities.Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes related to data integration and engineering initiatives.Communicate effectively with stakeholders at various levels, including executive management, to present project updates and performance metrics.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.7+ years of proven experience working with data integration tools, including at least 3 years with Informatica IICS.Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.Strong understanding of data integration concepts, ETL processes, and data warehousing.Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong leadership skills with experience leading and managing teams.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work independently and drive strategic initiatives.Preferred Skills:
Experience with Informatica PowerCenter and other Informatica tools.Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Shell Scripting.Familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.Experience in Agile development methodologies.Proven track record of successful leadership in data engineering projects.Benefits
